Frequently Asked Questions

When does the season start and end?
3on3 by Adam Bennett is a spring and summer weekend league. Most leagues begin in May and run to the end of July. Exact 2010 dates are posted on each location's website.

What day will my son/daughter play or can I choose which day?
We are primarily a weekend league with weekly games on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and in some cases, Mondays. Although your game time will fluctuate, the day will remain constant.

How much does it cost?
League fees vary from location to location - please consult individual league sites for 2010 fees. All payments must be received prior to the start of the season. Team fees are for 10 players (9 skaters plus a goalie). If a team chooses to carry more than 10 players, the additional players will still register & pay the same "Individual for a Registered Team" fee.

How can I register?
The best method is online. Please complete the online form and submit. You will receive a submission confirmation within 48 hours.  Alternatively, you can print and fax the form to 905-607-4075.

Do you offer girls only divisions?
Oakville and Mississauga have girls only divisions for Atom to Midget age groups; however at all locations, girls have the option of playing in the boys division of their own age or 1 age group lower. We will gladly open girls only divisions as soon as team/individual registrations warrant.

Can I register a team and, if so, how?
Yes. The coach/contact person should proceed to the form and complete the fields with the contact's information. Submit the information and continue for credit card deposit. You will receive payment confirmation followed by a separate e-mail confirmation with your Team Code. Once you have received the Team Code (usually within 48 hours), send your Team Code to every member of your team and have them register online as an 'Individual for a Registered Team'. Deposits will be returned once the final team registration and payment has been received.
Team fees are for 10 players (9 skaters plus a goalie). If a team chooses to carry more than 10 players, the additional players will still register & pay the same "Individual for a Registered Team" fee.

Which division do I sign my child up for?
You will be asked to indicate your child's birth year on the registration form. Divisions will be assigned as follows:

2010 Divisions - Birth Year

 Novice

 Atom

 Peewee

 Bantam

 Midget

 2002/2003

2000/2001

1998/1999

 1996/1997

 1993/1994/1995

Can my son/daughter play with their friend(s)?
Yes. Please fill in the "Teammate Request" field on the registration form. We will make every effort to accommodate your request but it cannot be guaranteed.

My child has never played 3on3, what are the rules?
3on3 is best described as 'organized pond-hockey'. The referees are very vocal and will assist the players on the ice. Please review our rules on this website.

Can I volunteer to coach or assist on the bench?
Absolutely. Please add your comments to the registration form with your interest to help your son/daughter’s team. You will be contacted with details.

What level is the hockey?
We accept all levels of players and offer divisions to suit. We offer both Rep and House League divisions for the boys where possible. The Girls’ division is a mix of all levels.
Are the divisions rebalanced?
Yes. After a few games, we reassign teams; depending on their record and performance. Players may be reassigned as last resort to complete the competitive balance.

I can’t commit every weekend, do you need reserve players? If so, what’s the cost?
Due to insurance issues, only goalies may be used as reserves for emergencies. Please submit the online form to add your name to our ‘spare goalie list’ at no cost.

I submitted the online form and received a confirmation, but haven’t heard from a coach?
Not to worry; your confirmation assures your spot. All players will be contacted after the mid-April coaches meetings via email and/or phone call from your coach. Team lists will also be posted on our website after at that time.
